July ’09 - How Sara found The Joyful Noise
Sara was a passionate, vibrant and truthful young singer with one acoustic guitar and some heartfelt songs but really a lonely soul until she met ‘The Joyful Noise’. How did this happen?
‘Have you ever admired someone or something from afar and then suddenly found yourself all caught up and involved in it, much to your heart’s delight? Well this happened to me recently. I had a favourite band, a local band, and I had always admired the sound, the songwriting and the powerfully good vibration of what they did.’
A very highly respected rock steady reggae band, ‘Stiff Naked Fools’ had disbanded, but Mark (Guxy) Guy and Christopher (Gangly) Blankley remained and, joining forces with Jonny Acroyd, they picked up some country/blues instruments and made an album.
‘Then I popped in to see Mark for a cup of tea one day as we had been matey for years. Chris and Johnny turned up, we tried a few songs and the rest is history. 4 weeks later and we are playing Camp Bestival!’
‘The Joyful Noise’ is now working on an album of vibrant and fresh music to lift
your spirits, open your heart and move your soul.
